No Ortho Experience? No Problem: We welcome applicants with no orthodontic assisting background. Whether you are a new graduate or experienced in general dentistry, we provide ample training to help you acquire these highly sought-after clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Orthodontist chairside during clinical procedures (suctioning, passing instruments, isolation).

  • Prepare patients for orthodontic records and assist with photography.

  • Take radiographs (Panorex and Cephalogram) [Requires HARP Certification].

  • Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, diet, and appliance care.

  • Maintain accurate patient charts and document visits in our software.

  • Perform lab tasks (e.g., pouring impressions and trimming models).

  • Assist with instrument sterilization and tray setup when necessary.


Requirements

  • Completion of an Ontario-accredited Level I Dental Assisting program.

  • HARP Certification is required (for taking radiographs).

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
