The Role: We are looking for a professional who is passionate about the business side of healthcare. While previous orthodontic experience is a significant asset, we value a strong background in finance or banking and provide the necessary support to help you master our specific protocols and software.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Financial
Confirm insurance coverage
Complete and submit insurance CAO Standard Form (P-auth or Treatment plan)
Process and submit insurance forms
Create and present financial contracts
Post charges and collect payments
Process end of day and month end reports
Perform past due account procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Patient Management
Meet and greet patients in a warm, friendly manner. Provide patient/parent with first name and identify position/role.
Operate phone system, answer incoming calls and respond, screen, direct calls or take messages as appropriate.
Retrieve and respond to voice and e-mail messages.
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative Support
Prepare reports, letters and general correspondence as required.
Process incoming and outgoing mail and general correspondence.
Provide general administrative support to the doctor.
Maintain effective communications with doctor and coworkers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: General
Maintain a clean and orderly work station and patient reception area.
Assists with the orientation of new staff.
Other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Relevant post-secondary education.
Previous related experience in an orthodontic/dental office environment.
Previous experience with orthodontic practice management software is an asset.
Financial experience such as a banking background would be an asset

Knowledge of ortho/dental terminology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to effectively operate a phone system
Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks under pressure
